This innovative system, which will be completed in late 2021, will respond to the needs of indoor heating and cooling, the production of hot water and the heating of the resort's pools,

“Given its size, this is a unique and innovative project within the scope of the use of geothermal heat pumps in Portugal”.

The resort's pioneering low-depth geothermal system uses the difference between air temperature and stable soil temperature, which, with the help of reversible heat pumps, generates renewable energy that is used for climate control of indoor environments (heating in winter, cooling in summer), providing hot water and heating swimming pools throughout the year, safely and responsibly.
