On 18 June, Ombria Algarve hosted a charity golf tournament organised by the Algarve Association for Children in Need (ACCA Kids), based in Almancil. By organising this charity event, Ombria helped raise over €10,000. Part of the funds donated to ACCA Kids will be used to support the "Famílias Aleixo", a Family Foster Care programme promoted by the António Aleixo Foundation in the Faro district.
One of the purposes of the event was to raise awareness and support the foster care programme. Foster care is a measure designed to promote the rights and protection of children and young people at risk, provided for in the law on the protection of children and young people at risk. Foster care is a temporary measure that entails a return to the child's family of origin.
The tournament promoted by Ombria Algarve attracted 50 golf enthusiasts, who had the opportunity to discover the region's brand new golf course and take part in a charity competition. The event ended with a convivial lunch and prize-giving ceremony.
As part of its commitment to the sustainable tourism, Ombria aims to create a strong community capable of meeting the needs of present and future generations.
