As part of the international Pink October campaign, the 22nd edition of the MamaMaratona will take place on 16 October 2022, between Quarteira and Vilamoura.
The MamaMaratona22 is a charity event organised by the Algarve Oncology Association (AOA). The event consists of an Algarve half-marathon (21,097 km), a mini marathon (10,5 km), plus a 5 or 7km walk, with the purpose of raising awareness for breast cancer prevention, raising funds for the cause of the fight against cancer, as well as free health screenings and fitness exercises.
Ombria Resort is one of the sponsors of MamaMaratona, together with Loulé Municipal Council, the Algarve Athletics Association and the Parish of Quarteira.
