The project, located within the 153 hectares of Ombria, a luxury real estate development promoted by the Finnish group Pontos and located in the municipality of Loulé, includes 65 exclusive 1 to 2-bedroom apartments integrated into a five-star hotel managed by Viceroy Hotels & Resorts.
Distributed across several buildings inspired by the architecture of an Algarvian village, the apartments have interior areas ranging from 70 to 173 m2. They are fully furnished and equipped, with interior design by WATG's Wimberly Interiors, which integrate meticulously customized local natural materials. Some apartments include private pools and jacuzzis, allowing for the enjoyment of views over the golf course.
Päivi Tomula, Director of the Real Estate Investment Department at Pontos Group, said: "We are extremely proud of this award, which distinguishes the exceptional work of Ombria in the area of sustainable construction and energy efficiency, which also represents the fundamental values of Pontos Group. From the beginning, we have committed to integrating sustainable development, community integration, and environmental responsibility into the DNA of Ombria. Opening the way for us to contribute not only to the preservation and sustainability of the planet but also to a closer relationship of cooperation with the local community in the years to come."
According to Ombria Algarve's Engineering Director, Cláudio Correia, "The perfect integration between bioclimatic architecture and the use of renewable energies will allow the realisation of the sustainable vision of NZEBs (buildings with nearly zero energy needs), including the installation of a pioneering geothermal system that is already a national case study."
Scheduled to open in autumn 2023, the Viceroy Residences and the Viceroy Hotel at Ombria Algarve will provide their owners with exclusive access to all services and facilities of the 5-star hotel.
