We are proud to announce that Viceroy at Ombria Algarve has been honoured with the 2025 Revelation Prize by the prestigious Boa Cama Boa Mesa Guide, a distinction that recognises the resort’s unique concept, which celebrates cultural heritage, nature, and the essence of inland Algarve.

Part of the wider Ombria Algarve development, nestled in the heart of the Algarve barrocal among the region’s verdant, bucolic hills, this sumptuous and secluded resort features 141 luxurious rooms, suites and residences, whose architecture is inspired by the charm of traditional Algarvian towns and villages, evoking the soul of the region.

The article highlights the resort’s wide and varied gastronomic offering - from the freshly baked bread, pastries and regional delicacies of Café Central, to oysters, petiscos and refreshing drinks at Salpico bar; from the light fare of Ombria Kitchen, which transforms into a seasonally inspired, regionally rooted dining experience at dinner, to the unmissable “Eclipse Nights” at Solalua restaurant. There, Chef Pedro Pinto invites some of Portugal’s most celebrated chefs to co-create sensory experiences of pure creativity that honour the most authentic flavours and ingredients of the Algarve.

Also featured is the resort’s 2,000 m² holistic spa, offering an extensive array of facilities: an indoor thermal pool, outdoor pool, hammam, sauna, steam room, sensory showers, beauty treatments, fitness centre, yoga studio, eight treatment rooms with organic products, and outdoor terraces. Another standout is the 18-hole golf course, designed to provide players with a rewarding challenge in perfect harmony with the surrounding nature.

Beyond golf, guests are invited to immerse themselves in the region’s rich culture through a wide range of experiences: wine and olive oil tastings, bread and chocolate workshops, market visits with the chef, birdwatching, hiking and cycling, valley picnics, “Shepherd for a Day” activities, visits to local beekeepers, ceramics workshops, and horse riding with picnic experiences.

Above all, receiving this award is a confirmation that the future of tourism in the Algarve lies in valuing the region’s inland heritage, genuinely involving the local community in building a legacy rooted in respect and preservation of the land we call home for generations to come.
