We are happy to say that the Ombria Team has just reached the finish line, after covering approx. 300km in 41 hours and 42 min. !

Timo Kokkila, CEO of Ombria Resort’s developer Pontos Group and our team started running the ALUT on Friday 25th in Sagres, Algarve. The 4 athletes launched a crowdfunding campaign to help a Loulé charity who works across multiple social action projects. So far, €680 have been raised out of the €1,200 goal.

Donations to António Aleixo Foundation can still be received. We would really appreciate any donation you can give. Whoever wishes to donate can do it here:

The ALUT is a pedestrian sports event in nature, taking place almost entirely on the Via Algarviana. Part of the European Footpath Network (Route GR13), this popular walking route crosses the interior of the Algarve for about 300 kilometres, namely the three Algarve mountains, the craggy barrocal subregion, the hills and part of the Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina Natural Park. Also, this long-distance path passes nearby Ombria Resort.

The race is organised by ATR-Associação Algarve Trail Running and has the support of Região de Turismo do Algarve, ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal and Associação Almargem, the managing entity of Via Algarviana.
