Ombria’s golf course featured in NetJets magazine.

The private jets company’s magazine describes Ombria’s signature golf course as an inland alternative to the region’s coastal options.

‘An ode to the Algarve’ - is how NetJets describes Ombria's golf course.

NetJets magazine recently wrote about the ongoing proliferation of world-class golfs in southern Portugal, reiterating the success of golf courses in the Iberian Peninsula, which retain its crown as the undisputed epicentre of Continental golf, especially for weather-weary northern Europeans.

Scheduled to open in Spring 2023, the 18-hole, par 71 Ombria course, spanning 6,000m, offers scenic views of the surrounding countryside and will provide golfers with an exceptional and diverse golfing experience.

“Surrounded by hillsides and dotted with indigenous plants and trees, the course is the brainchild of veteran Portuguese architect Jorge Santana da Silva, who has routed the par-70 course around mature oaks to offer a contrast to most of the layouts in the area, many of which are found on the coastal plain. When completed, the resort will feature a Viceroy hotel with 76 rooms and suites and 65 residences set amid hectares of citrus groves and fig and carob trees.”
