Derelict building will gain new life and attract artists to the interior of the Algarve all year round

Ombria Resort, a luxury development under construction located in Querença, municipality of Loulé, in the Algarve barrocal, and scheduled to open in 2023, will have a music recording studio for artists who want to record their album in the middle of nature at any time. of the year. Its excellent accessibility, 20 minutes from Faro airport, and the proximity to the Protected Landscape of Fonte de Benémola make this equipment an inspiring destination.

An unusual studio that was once a farmer's home from the 50's with large areas and sturdy walls will now gain a new life as it is transformed into a music recording studio. The proximity between this equipment and the hotel will allow the artists housed at the resort to focus on their work while being immersed in nature.

The proposal is based on the use of the original property and expansion of the existing building area to the south and adapting it to install a Social and Cultural equipment for Private Collective use destined for music.

Designed for solo artists as well as national and international bands of all types of music, the studio will be divided into two floors. On the ground floor are the parking and access to the music facilities and recording rooms which, due to its acoustic condition, require a “sealed” box from the outside. The first floor, accessed via a sculptural staircase in the entrance hall, gives access to a large glass-enclosed room overlooking the valley of the passage to the east.
The building's implantation area is 224.40m2, with a total construction area of 271.00m2.

This project is part of a broader strategy to rehabilitate 5 unoccupied equipment located in the vicinity of the Ombria Resort, so that they can be used by the local population, hotel guests and residents of the development.
