Expresso reports that the eagerly-awaited, 5-star Viceroy at Ombria Algarve hotel will open its doors on the 1st of October 2024. Located in Loulé, this luxury hotel marks the debut of the prestigious US brand in Portugal.
With 141 rooms and suites looking out over the unspoiled Algarve countryside, the hotel offers breathtaking panoramic views of rolling hills and meandering streams with architecture inspired by the charming local villages surrounding it. Developed by WATG and Promontorio, the indoor spaces by Wimberly Interiors blend contemporary style with local craftsmanship, while the extensive facilities include four swimming pools (three of them heated), six restaurants showcasing regional produce, and a range of accommodation available with terraces, private pools, and Jacuzzis.
Comprising 24 buildings with a traditional tower and central plaza, the hotel Viceroy at Ombria Algarve also offers a range of authentic Algarve experiences, from honey harvesting, horse riding, and picnics, to hiking and cycling trails, bird watching, wine tasting, and pottery workshops. Upon opening, the hotel will offer a kids club with indoor and outdoor spaces, a conference centre with an events hall, and three meeting rooms.
