We are proud to announce that our golf course has been honoured as the Best New Golf Course at the prestigious World Golf Awards, in a ceremony held on Sunday, 24 November.
Nestled in the serene landscapes of Loulé, our 153-hectare sustainable resort offers much more than a destination – it’s a way of life. Central to this vision are 65 exclusive one- and two-bedroom apartments, seamlessly integrated into our five-star hotel managed by Viceroy Hotels & Resorts.
At the heart of our resort lies our 18-hole golf course, a masterpiece crafted by architect Jorge Santana da Silva, which opened in April 2023. Designed to harmonise with the surrounding nature, it offers a unique and immersive experience for golfers of all levels.
Sustainability is woven into every aspect of our golf course. We prioritised minimising turf areas, preserving native landscapes, conserving forests, and integrating a highly efficient irrigation system to respect the natural contours of our terrain. Our steep slopes posed a challenge, but we embraced them as an opportunity, using energy-efficient solutions to complement our eco-conscious design.
