Ombria Algarve has just been nominated in two distinct categories at the 20th edition of the Portugal Travel Awards, organised by Publituris. The awards ceremony will take place on 3 July 2025, at the Hotel Vila Galé Collection Elvas, starting at 7:00 PM.
The Viceroy at Ombria Algarve, the first hotel by the prestigious Viceroy Hotels & Resorts brand in the Iberian Peninsula, has been nominated in the “Best Five-Star Hotel” category. This distinction reflects the resort’s commitment to a hospitality concept that combines sophistication, luxury, integration with nature, and a deep respect for the authenticity of the region.
With architecture that blends seamlessly into the landscape of the Algarve’s barrocal, and an offering that prioritises well-being, local gastronomy and highly personalised service, the Viceroy at Ombria Algarve is positioning itself as a benchmark for travellers seeking exclusive yet locally rooted experiences.
Meanwhile, the Ombria Golf Course has been nominated for “Best Golf Course”, an award that recognises not only the technical challenge of the course, designed by Jorge Santana da Silva according to international best practices, but also its environmental commitment.
Nestled in a protected landscape, the course was developed following sustainability principles, incorporating native species, efficient irrigation systems and ecological management practices that minimise environmental impact.
Public voting is open from 26 May to 16 June on the official awards website. These nominations reinforce Ombria Algarve’s dedication to excellence, innovation and sustainable tourism, affirming its position as a leading destination both nationally and internationally.
